Odd One Out: a visual search game for kids

Visual attention

Spot the one that is different!

▶ Play Odd One Out

A grid of pictures appears, and one of them is different. Your child finds and taps the odd one out as quickly as possible.

This trains visual search and processing speed — scanning carefully and spotting details fast, useful for reading and finding information.

The grid grows from 3×3 to 7×7, the differences become subtle, the odd one may be just rotated or mirrored, and a time bar appears.

Frequently asked questions

What does Odd One Out train?

Visual search: scanning a scene and spotting what is different, quickly and accurately.

Is there a time limit?

Not in the first five levels. After that a shrinking bar adds gentle time pressure.

Is it good for younger kids?

Yes. Level 1 uses a small grid with obvious differences, and the game adapts from there.
